Google $crip
The stock market is way down all over the world. The price of gold is moving down even faster. US debt is at a record high. Looks like there is going to be a commodities crash. Will the US dollar crash too?
And across the blogosphere people have been talking for months, perhaps years, about the timing of oil being traded in Euros instead of dollars. Well here is another thought... What is the truly great currency of our age... not Euros or Dollars.... but google$crip. Surely Google share scrip is the soundest currency of the modern era. The company is sitting on a mountain of cash, is hugely profitable, and the trends are that somewhere in the next 12 to 18 months we will reach the tipping point where more advertising expenditure is directed into the online space than to TV. Mark Kvamme from Sequoia said ad expenditure online in the US would hit $30Billion in 2008. A huge proportion of that money willl travel to and through Google's bank accounts. So why not capitulate now? Get all the major trading nations of the world to start trading commodities and services using google$scrip as the underlying currency. It surely has more value than the stuff we currently use!
