Internet shakes up business models and media. Hot news? Well, to New York Times readers today it is. First, the Times points out that media companies are looking for, but wait for it,  running out of significant internet companies to buy. And second, the Times reports, consumer created video content is becoming a competitive space.

Interpretation. Major media would like to bet on the future but isn't sure what will work from what they see emerging. Second, that this boom is different to the last. This is about the tools giving ordinary consumers empowerment to publish what they want. That means mass useage. But without conventionally understood business models existing, just yet. Interesting times.
