Sony hits trouble with PS3
Sony have been pointing to PlayStation 3 as the answer to their problems. Powerful, innovative and expensive it was meant to almost single handed drag the floundering giant out of its problems. Problems. Movies not that crash hot. DRM issues. Old technology. Batteries flaming out. You name it the company is fighting fires.
So. This morning's New York Times piece summing the feelings of many in the gamer community.....that PS3 is better than PS2, but not beyond criticism, must hurt. Especially since the machine costs five or six hundred dollars. Somewhere in Sony the execution is going wrong. They just aren't listening to the market anymore.

Seems like there is a point where a company stops putting the customer first and building great products. Sony is past that point. Maybe it's too big and bloated, or maybe the employees and management care more about their jobs and paychecks than the products they create. But yeah, the PS3 seems like an average product when they needed a home run. I still have a PS2 that I get mileage out of; I think I'll be sticking with that.
