Games....and how roles reversed

Only a couple of years ago, a Sydney suburban EB games store, (Ashfield) told the story. "look at the footage for Nintendo; shrinking" the manager said. " There's nothing. No new games. No new products". Sony wishes that were true today.

Since then Nintendo has brought out the DS and the Wii......... Ah, the DS, but the Wii! Wow.

Yesterday in suburban LA, the new story. "the PS3 is just too expensive at 650 US dollars including tax. They're not moving. And anyone who want to buy it, wants games, and there's almost none", and then he looked around "but the Wii. Its fun. Everyone buys them, there's tons of games and people keep buying more"

So. Nintendo is soaring and Sony slipping.

"All Sony keep saying is it costs them 2000 bucks to make the machine" said this manager "why are they blaming us". Why indeed?

Perceptric Forum

According to Wikipedia a perceptron is a type of artificial neural network.

Ergo a “Perceptric” is a person who creates or uses a neural network.

The Perceptric Blog is where Chris Gilbey posts thoughts, ideas, and links intended to stimulate thought and accelerate the transfer of ideas.

Chris is available for consulting work with the premise that it is not technologies that are disruptive so much as the people that use them.

The Perceptric mission is to help companies and people reach their goals and exceed their expectations. This will often mean offering counterintuitive conclusions.

Our view? The shortest distance between two points is not necessarily a straight line. It's the number of people needed to be present in a human network to influence and deliver positive decision making.
