Richard McKinnon is a Founding Partner of Perceptric based in Los Angeles, California. His international reputation is in strategy, communications and marketing; including political consulting.

His business experience is wide and deep. Richard's business service company was based in Sydney in the nineties and provided high level strategic, human resource and marketing counsel to a range of companies from blue chip industrials (including AGL and Multiplex) through technology start ups to specific industry businesses such as healthcare companies.

He was personally sought and retained to advise State and Federal Governments at executive, agency and Government wide level on both policy and implementation issues. His company was constantly retained across it's service spectrum by Governments of all political persuasions. He chaired the Customer Service Initiative for the world's second largest hospital system of 254 hospitals. He initiated the Olympic Health

Issue and media crisis management was a core competence of the business.

Since establishing in the United States in 2000, Richard  has contributing marketing, positioning and communication services to a different but equally wide range of companies in the healthcare, travel, technology, consumer and  ecommerce areas. These include companies as diverse as Cheaptickets, Conductus and xDrive. 

In the eighties, McKinnon founded and owned a consumer products company in the food service industry.

Richard has  also written extensively on sport and politics for newspaper and magazine outlets around the world. He was a contributing editor to a number of publications as well as network sport correspondent for approximately ten years.

Richard is highly interested in public policy issues in both Health and Education. He has been involved in the Governance Council of several schools (Chair, Roosevelt Elementary 2003-4) and is  actively involved in youth sports.
