Things Are Rarely How They Seem
From time to time I read Ambrose Evans-Pritchard's column in the UK Daily Telegraph.
He writes about finance and invariably has an unconventional view on what is happening.
This particular one is a real doozy and is a must read for anyone who thinks beyond the box.
He writes about the way that the EU lawmakers have managed to usurp all the rights laid down in the Magna Carta. Yes, that is right. No longer will the people of the UK be able to claim the kind of common law rights that they have had for somewhere in the region of a thousand years. Amazing!
And this is also what is going to happen once everyone signs off on the Copenhagen agreement methinks. We need a way to deal with climate change – of course. But in doing so, are we going to find that all the rights that we have had for so many years, just disappear in a puff of smoke…..?
And read some of the comments too… remembering that this is in a newspaper that is quite sober and attracts dry, conservative readers, not ratbag conspiracy theorists and the like…
