The Theory of Relativity concerning Pawns, Lily and Rupert.

The Game of chess has more pawns than any other piece. This
is so that pawns can be used as both the initial onslaught and the defensive
line.

Which, depends on the player, who’s role of course is to
increase his military capacity and strategic advantage whilst at the same time
attempting to decimate the oppositions men and military posturing.

Every chess player knows that everyone of his/her eight
pawns can be crowned as a queen.

Therefore theoretically, against a very weak opponent, a
player could in fact advance his pawns to the opposite end of the board and end
up with nine queens on the board.

In reality, I don’t believe this achievement has ever
actually occurred.

Theory and reality are rarely, (outside the Big Bang Theory),
proven correct on a daily basis.

Any successful entrepreneur or suitor, knows that success requires
hard work, determination and persistence.

One can win the war by continuing to attack the opposing
defenses continually, nibbling away at the other side.  Sort of like Guerilla warfare. (Think Vietnam).

In fact chess is exactly like the media business.

On the sixteenth of September, The White side (they started
this battle – so they have to be the white) sent forth a pawn (Lily Allen)
to support Lord Mandelsohns scaling of the British battlements to hoist the
flag of 3 Strikes triumph atop 10 Downing street.

And why not? Lily has earned the hearts and minds of a big
chunk of the British “Y”  generation with
carefully crafted lyrics apparently “shoving it” to the man.

But what Lily doesn’t realise is that she is a creation of
the corporate machine. Just another pawn to be sacrificed, but crowned and temporarily
elevated to the position of Pop Diva spokeswoman for this one little strategic masterpiece
play.

The fact that the British pop Diva was sacrificed on the
alter of her peers without achieving the objective is neither here nor there to
the puppeteer who sits in his ivory tower blissfully aware that he is not much
longer for this world. For that reason alone, he continues to strive against
the might of all the people of all the lands to get his way.

After all he has been getting his own way, very successfully
and profitably for some time.

An Australian ex-pat, Rupert Murdoch has built an empire
that has allegiance to no-one except the Murdoch fiefdom. At that end of town,
it’s called “friends and family”.

Unfortunately, Politicians don’t understand the absolute
corruptness of the corporate machine.

Politicians (who are elected for only a few terms) consider
that they can “control” the machine.

Politicians are wrong. The corporate machine is insidious,
it hires spies, it blackmails, it contributes to campaign funds, it hires
hookers, buys gifts, holds great “A” list parties.

Everybody wants to be friends with the corporate machine.

Rupert demonstrated his allegiance to the almighty dollar
when he moved News Limited from Adelaide
to New York, turning his back on
the country and Politicians that helped make him as successful as he is.

What happens if Rupert wins?

The world looses and copyright will sit on the throne of all
the lands, shadowing over Governments, Kings, Queens and
Dictators.

Asprin will increase in price to ten dollars a tablet.

Non-genetically enhanced foods will become impossible to
buy.

Women will become exclusive baby machines.

And everyone will be forced to buy newspapers to use for
Toilet paper as News Limited will buy up all the soft tissue ply factories and
close them down.

What happens if Rupert loses?

A few people loose their jobs and the world saves a pile of
trees from being cut down which in turn reduce the pollution that the rest of
the planet generates.

And eventually the price of content will be reduced to micro
payment level, where everyone can afford it and there is no longer any reason
to “steal” it.

It would seem that the only difference between Rupert
winning and losing is the News Limited share price during the intervening years.

I think it’s hilarious that whether Rupert wins or loses,
the result to News Limited will be the same.

All that will happen is that rest of will have even less of
a reason to jump out of bed every morning full of joy and happy to be alive.

So Rupert, if you’re reading this, how about you back-off
before you manage to turn the entire world into zombie fiefdom serfs or create
a consumer pushback that the world can-not recover from.

E=MC2 ? Only in non-media world equations.

The Media version $=CP2* appears to have some
growing holes in it, mainly to do with the continuing devaluation of the PPP of
the US dollar.

PPP ? Purchasing Power
Parity
.

*Consumer Purchase squared.
