It seems from the data that is emerging that there is a huge amount of churn within the whole social networking space.

I wonder whether there is just an amorphous mass of early adopters who migrate from one next big thing to another. These are followed by the next wave and so on. But they are going so fast that the majority of the population are now so far behind that they just can't be bothered to try to catch up…

I have noticed recently a substantial fall off in the amount of email that I have been getting, particularly the kind of email that has a ppt attachment that you are told will bring you good luck if you just forward it to five friends…

I wonder if it is just possible that we may be seeing the end of the Internet Big Bang and just like with the other Big Bang, may just get the white noise left behind for the rest of time…
