Yesterday and today I went book shopping to try to buy either Heat (by George Monbiot) or Pandemonium (by Andrew Nikiforuk) for the son of a friend in San Francisco who is doing a degree in Economics with a focus on Agriculture).

Went to three shops in San Francisco and struck out each time. Apparently the Monbiot book has just been released, and the Nikiforuk book is not out for a while….

Interesting that these two books that are so amazingly topical, and important, are not out already – and not in stock in a city as liberal as Berkely.
