All video is not equal. Some seems to get delivered to you incredibly slow, and some even slower.

I just discovered a video hosting site called Live Leak. It seems to be trying to be a kind of whistle blower site for video, and hosts material that apparently has been taken off of YouTube. (The next posting below featuring Donald Trump is hosted there). But the one thing that is quite memorable is that the video is delivered incredibly fast.

I am not sure why this is. I presume that they use one of the major Content Distribution Networks, just like all the other major players do…. Or is there a more subtle technical differentiator? I aim to investigate this.
