Here is a resource that I just discovered: Sourcewatch.
It is, they say, “a directory of the people, organizations and issues shaping the public agenda”. They provide resources to enable writers to check who the lobbyists, PR companies, etc are behind the stories that appear….
Everyone wants to shape our ideas now. I remember the phrase a VC told me was his guiding investment philosophy – and it is also clearly the philosohpy of the power politicians: “You can never go wrong investing in someone else's self interest.”
