The news is now out.… Just before the GooTube deal went down, YouTube carved off equity chunks for a number of the major music labels to make their problems go away…. and the value of each of the chunks: $50million.

Nice work for the labels. They love that stuff. Low overhead on lawyers. No royalties to pay. Money straight to the bottom line!
