I should have also added to the post below that it is not just the impact on our financial system that I find appaling.

It is also the impact on humanity.

The tragedy of the Iraqi people; the fact that their land has been poisoned for a million years by the use of depleted uranium by the the Coalition of the Ill Informed; the tragedy of the American people who have seen a country that represented all the best ideals of democracy have the national brand skewered as a result of Abu Graib and much more.

And a tragedy for the entire planet whose morality is in tatters for letting our elected representatives take us into this folly.
