Its like the scene just before the big battle in Lord of the Rings. Except now I am not sure which side is the which…. Microsoft and Google.

A deal between MS and the BBC is cooking. MOU signed between the parties. And this is going to allow MS to mine the Beeb's content. Certainly a counter strike to the Google/Rupert deal and the Google deals that seem to be happening all over the place….

And at the same time some other interesting things happening. Sony continues to have to do replacements on batteries for laptop clients. This is going to cost them billions. And at the same time that they are running late with the PSP in a lot of markets.

But of course while the big fight may well be between MS and Google, you can't rule out all the other players in this epic drama…. How will Jobs and Apple play this out to their advantage? Will Zune be a benefit or a distraction for MS? And where will Yahoo! fit?
