Global Warming
Here is a thought….
On the one hand there are people who are sceptics about global warming. And then there are the people who believe that the bible is gospel (no pun intended).
So which is wrong? Global warming – or the Book of Revelation?
Have a look at this story from the BBC today about the proliferation of diseases…
Advancement of Science, Frances Cairncross, told delegates it was time
for the world to begin focusing on how to live with climate change,
rather than solely on preventing it.
She said the Kyoto Protocol was “ineffectual”, in part because several big nations were not signed up to it.
“We almost certainly can't stop” climate change, she said.
“We probably can slow it down a bit and we should
certainly try, but broadly, the main thing we are going to have to do
is to adapt. The rich countries should help the poor countries to adapt
- as well as helping them to introduce less energy-intensive
technologies.”
