Tennis gets multi-media.
Where is technology going? Where is sport going? Wimbledon has always been at the forefront of change for both although they pretend not.
This year Wimbledon will see the BBC give UK broadband users access to five courts of live tennis action for the first time. The BBC service will be available from BBC Sport's dedicated Wimbledon website. It will feature content from the Beeb's live TV coverage and digital interactive feeds.
The site will also run 3 minute highlight packages with daily roundups. So the BBC has now moved to provide live TV, Radio and Broadband coverage along with content for Ceefax, Digital Text and WAP phones.
At the French Open there's a full video feed from all courts all the time to the press room. How soon before that's offered to everyone worldwide? In fact why hasn't it been already?
