Broadband revisited

We stand at a time in history that is like that which confronted the early manufacturers of automobiles. There was relatively little infrastructure. No gas stations, no freeways…. so no one could quite comprehend the incredible economic boom that would come as a result of building a transportation infrastructure that could be personalized by the automobile.

That was the primary seed of the development of the boom of the latter part of the 20th Century.

Now we stand at a similar point. The Chinese get it. That is why they are spending 10Billion US$ on building the broadband infrastructure in Beijing prior to the Olympics.

In Australia they are relying on raw materials/resource demand to keep the economic engines turning. However China is going to reduce its reliance on imports and become more efficient.

No broadband = no future. Unless you just want to go back to nature…. which in NSW we will probably have to do because the State government is devoid of ideas and bankrupt.
