Apparently DRM has a substantial negative effect on battery life of your iPod or other mp3 player. The Microsoft Play For Sure saps 25% out of your battery and the iPod system takes 8%…. If you just rip your CD's onto your player of course, you don't get encumbered with any DRM, so you get better battery life and you get greater flexibility of use. Moral of the story, don't download material. Rip it, burn it, share it….
