March Madness for the net

CBS will stream March Madness games of the NCAA tournament it does not televise. The stream will be free. This is a huge step forward in proving out the nets ability to present live action video. But they are going to limit each stream to several hundred thousand connections. This will be a problem. Basketball, and this tournament, cross all demographic and geographic region of the US. There will be many, many disappointed people (millions?) searching for a connection to their favorite match up as the games begin.

Every sports nut with home entertainment theater around America will want to stream the internet feed, then throw it to their big screen and surround sound.

This is the inflection point in adoption of live action distribution through the net. And, crossing display from PC screen to wide screen. Popular Convergence is arriving.
