As we are starting to get into Podcasting mode, I thought I should get
some decent tools for the job. I went out with my friend Steve Shurtz
yesterday and got a new solid state recorder. I bought the M-Audio Microtrack 24/96.
What a fantastic toy this is. CD quality recording on flash memory with
a quite nifty professional looking interface. The company is apparently
owned by Avid – the perfect podcast interview device with a little
T-shaped mic that is excellent quality.

Next step is to get up to speed with the editing and post production
software that comes with the device. And only $500 including the 1 gig
flash memory that I purchased.
