Disney. McDonalds, Burgers and Mouse House team up.

Disney is starting to get with it rather than just complain about the new world. It has an interesting plan to team with McDonalds. Patrons would be given a media player on a visit. A certain purchase would enable the download of some Disney material via a code and the restaurant wifi.

Content like part of a movie, a Muppet's episode, a song. A return visit would yield another part of the movie and so on till you get everything. Both Disney and McDonalds would benefit by repeated visits for burgers and content.

In the last month, Disney have teamed with iTunes to sell TV shows, talked about simultaneous cinema, DVD, on demand release of movies and now this. Amongst other things. Finally, a major is starting to look at different models to monetize content.

For McDonalds, what a no brainer. Disney drives kids wild worldwide. Now they'll know they can get a Disney show for the price of a few McHappy burgers. You'll need police to control the queues.
