Venture capital inflows were up 16% in the 3 quarter over 2004, according to Venture One, a Dow Jones offshoot.
27 funds were raised during quarter 3, equaling about $5.91 billion, up from $5.11 billion in 2003. $15.93 bill in total has been raised in 2005. 2005 could easily surpass the 2004 record of $18.43 billion raised. You see the new companies. The new ideas getting funds. Venture's back. And that's important news.
