Info Talk

Ok – I know I am late to the party with this, but I am totally sold on
my iPod Nano, and Podcasting in particular. I bought it while I was on
my last (lengthy) road trip and started experimenting with downloading
podcasts at that time. I have come across some pretty dismal stuff
along the way, and have also found some gems. One of the gems, if you
are a technology watcher, is “Infotalk“.
It is put together by John Furrier, and notwithstanding the fact that
he could use a bit of help with the sound (levels too hot sometimes;
people speaking off mic etc) and occasionally he has a totally duff
interview subject, by and large this is riveting old style, steam radio
- but with the twist that it is all about what is going to happen next.

Listening to John's programs is like having being a fly on the wall in
your favorite VC's office in Sandhill Road. Several years ago I was
told that the reason that any technology company needs to have an
office in the valley is that the VC's there have already been exposed
to every good idea that exists and have perfectly attuned antennae for
new things….

InfoTalk is to now what Wired magazine was to the early 90's.
