Another women died in Indonesia of bird flu. 6 deaths now, 42 reported sick, total confusion reigns. Australia is helping. The UN says its 80 mill short of the 100 it needs to fight bird flu. Meanwhile, 14 Russian towns are in quarantine. A race for a H5N1 vaccine goes on as Iran and the Philippines become the latest countries braced for a new wave of Flu. It may effect te global economy savagely.

Recombinomics points out “the latest confirmed H5N1 fatality was initially misdiagnosed as having dengue fever…Thus far this year Indonesia has recorded 538 fatalities from dengue fever….The confusion of pandemic influenza with dengue fever was also seen in the 1918 flu pandemic“

Fighting the Bird Flu threat will take global coordination and leadership. .Little is in evidence today. Lets hope for luck.
